i live!

it's been, what - like a month? far too long at any rate, and i'm sorry about the vanishing act!  oh so sorry

during the big move *dun dun duuuun* we dropped michael's computer tower and apparently it destroyed the graphics card? i don't know exactly what the illness was other than we couldn't see the screen. so no interwebs, sadly

now we have a gorgeous new computer, so i'm back with smirking vengeance

it's been a busy and beautiful absence

we've settled in the new house, and mere words can't do it justice. it's perfect and quaint and well - it's home. all our things are in their rightful place and it's like we've always belonged here. here within walking distance of downtown, the library and museum ... amidst historic Victorian type homes and their amazing gardens

it has perhaps a billion windows, built in shelves and a storybook fireplace. there is a sunroom where we can sit and watch the world go by, a backyard where clothes go to dry and smell like sunshine and a kitchen a mile long.

leighton seems to be the most happiest about our move from the apartment, his room is bigger and allows for more toys ... and he graduated to a toddler bed from his crib. now he can clamber out and play early in the morning while i shower, instead of being confined until i'm ready to release him. needless to say - he is a happy boy

my crappy immune system followed us here however it would seem

i went to the hospital earlier this week with what i assumed to be a regular asthma attack and was told i have both huge lungs and phenomena. great

i've been slowly recovering, but even today i wake up with a shaking cough and headache. it's completely reversed any weight i've lost, but i guess there isn't much hope in working out when i can barely function lol

in the weeks to come our cat wren will deliver babies, and i am certainly more nervous than she!

if anyone could offer any advise it would be greatly appreciated! as far as i can tell from youtube videos, she gives birth to disgusting black bubbles full of kittens ... ewww?
but i'm equally excited. i have made her a little den from a sierra trading post box and some old shirts of michael's, i have a birthing kit with scissors, towels, mucus suckers, newborn formula and bottles and alcohol. i feel super proud lol

frontier days is coming up soon, which means : carnivals, parades and nightshows! oh my!

i always become ridiculously excited for the last week of july, i feel like a kid again.

and this year i am especially thrilled to be sharing it with michael - as lame as this sounds, i have always been single for frontier days. the third wheel in walks around the carnival ground, the odd one out on paired rides. but this year i have my significant everything and it should prove to be an amazing time

well, that's it from me. sorry again i've been missing out on so much, i'll be catching up! <3

Babie birthing kitties is usually an easy proccess.
My cat actually meowed at me the whole time she went into labor and then walked over to her desinated spot. (big box with lots of towels)
she pushed out some slimy wet little critters that she would then clean off. One time the umbilical cord was wraped around a baby and I cut it (my kitten had like 6 litters).

Mainly she just wanted me to be there and comfort her.

After birth she will hide her babies in her choice of spots and will pretty much want you to leave them alone until their eyes are open.

Then you will have screaming kittens all night long running around all over the place.

icon chosen for you :)

LMAO! you and your icon rawk hardcore <3

thanks so much for the advise, i am really very dramatic about the whole thing but ... it was bad enough for me, the whole giving birth thing. i can't imagine doing it multiple times!

did she look at all ready before? wren just seems to be getting fatter, and now she is getting *ahem* kittie titties but other than that she remians the same as far as activites go

some crook of a vet charged us 57 dollars to say she was due 'within the week' almost two weeks ago ... i think that's what's making me nervous most

but i'm excited to meet them, they should be very pretty :]

i guess as long as she doesn't eat them i'm prepared lol

Oh she could eat them, then take them from her and you will have to bottle feed them NOT COW MILK, go to petsmart or something and buy kitten milk.

Ms.Kitty (original I know) never got super fat, you could see momma tits, but as far as prego belly goes she just got kind of lumpy.

You can feel the babies more around though!
Don't squeeze.

the funny thing is - we ALLOWED her to get knocked up because she was so hyper energetic. and now it's like the poor thing is in a coma, she pretty much only wakes up to relocate with the sunlight lol

wren was a tiny kitty to begin with, she's half siamese ... so the belly on her is interesting to say the least. she waddles and it's totally adorable

oh i can feel them, and hear them squishing around in there - which just makes me want them OUT more!

if she eats them, she and i might not be friends anymore. not cool

Awww, your RSVP to Frontier Days can be brandylyn plus one. Love it love it.
I think you & I need to organize a mass girls-only night at the carnival to trounce the failed one last year, yeah?

totally and utterly agree! though i think we might be safe, seeing as how Reba the Cursed One will not be joining us this time around lol

i am just so glad to not walk around with empty hands! like i've always assumed the lights and festivity would be a really romantic zing ... but i've never felt it personally, for reasons which you're painfully aware of

and now?

i am going to ask him to play every single stupid midway game for giant stuffed animals andposters possible! mwhahaha

we'll have to take his sister along, she's great and clever enough to hang yo ♥

I am so happy that you are in love with your new home. It sounds like a dream come true! I hope that one day I could be only half so blessed as you. Enjoy it, for I know that things for you have no always been so blissful, but of course the good in that is that it can't last forever, yes? :)

I know what you mean about having a fun thing like an annual carnival or whatever come...and yeah, it's a little corny, but every year you look forward to it because it charms that sentimental fun side of you, and darn it, you want to share that with somebody who Gets It and Gets You. You should take a picture of the three of you at Frontier Days!

Oh my word, kitteh babies! I think I'd be a big ol' tizzie too. That's good that you are studying and you sound as prepared as you're gonna get. LOL These things have a way of not going totally as expected, but that isn't necessarily bad. At least you can say you're a mom, I don't even have that going for me yet. LOL Kitteh babies! Squee!

Isn't life sometimes just too much in a good way? It sure beats whatever's in second place! ;D

oh darling, thanks so much! you always put a smile on my face, and i honestly wish i could tour you through the house. i think you'd love it's old home charm.

i'm sure someday i can look forward to your own amazing domicile and how you decorate, i think that's what i most look forward to lol i am picturing bows and pink everywhere ... but in a Homes & garden magazine sort of way :}

frontier days is actually going to be WORTH it this year, with michael around. normally it's just a giant mixing pot of drama and the smells of popcorn ... but not again i dare say!

oh there will be pictures. oh yes, there wll be many. *mwahaha*

life is too much, in a GREAT way and i'm so glad - if even through a screen, you're a part of mine <3
